What day! Friends, snow, and gorgeous weather. We skied Log Cabin and managed to get to the summit. We found incredible powder down low, and variable but super fun skiing up high. The snow in the alpine was 10'ish cm of light powder overtop a 2-4cm of denser, wind pressed snow, with faceted/less dense snow below that. Some wind scoured patches and hard wind slabs, but few and far between. On our ski down, the PWL was top of mind. We avoided convex rolls, and tried to stick to the center of the main ski line where we thought the snow pack would be deeper. Winds were light in the morning, transporting a fair bit of snow, but died down in the afternoon. Temperatures seemed to stay below zero all day, but not by much. White pass delivers!
