Deep snow on Taiya north

Skied the Taiya north glacier and encountered approximately 30cm of warm powder well-bonded from the summit ridge down to 1500m. Ski cutting produced some sluffing but slab properties were not present on the sheltered north face and no recent avalanches observed in the area. Still chose to avoid unsupported slopes and convex features while descending, sticking to lower angle ramps and gullies once off the steeper upper mountain. South aspects are melting out fast and with the warmer temps of late there isn't as strong of an overnight recovery at the lower elevations compared to even just a week ago. Ski crampons are essential on all aspects aside from north.
