Misty Morfee

Dug profile at 1400 m in open trees with evidence of wind effect. Sudden collapse compression test results in top 20 cm only. Well consolidated midpack with a variety of crusts in the lower snowpack. Did not find buried surface hoar here. At ridge top (1600m) is where we found the rimed surface hoar. It was sitting on a 5-10cm thick windslab. Total snow depth 60 cm here.
