- Heavy Snowfall, Poor Snowpack Structure
We were doing a level 1 Aiare class and observed moderate to heavy snowfall all day from 8am-4pm when we left the area. Snow accumulated atleast 6 inches during the day.
We felt whomping on semi flat ground in mill hollow canyon felt by 3-4 ridders, consistant wind of roughly 20 mph gusting higher, wind loading happening. We dug down to the ground and found the weak persistent layer.
