Avalanche Information

Cross loading contributed to this sledder accidental avalanche in Quartz Creek. Strong winds have been redistributing snow for the past couple of days, create touchy wind slabs in lee locations near ridge top and on cross loaded slopes. Especially ones like this, with gully features.

CTH 24, 22, 21 SP down 44 on Facets and Decomposing Surface Hoar. Mid Jan layer HS 190. Very wind affected at TL and above.
