Avalanche Information

System coming in from the SW created far more wind affect then we had been expecting. 80km/hr gusts and terrible viz at the tophat col made it very unpleasant. On the lee side of the slope, we observe an earlier natural 0.5. Upon further investigation, we remote triggered a wind slab that started with a thin crown (15cm), but progressed downslope into a convexity where the crown grew to 40cm. It ran for 300m. Pictures are very poor as the light was flat and the viz was terrible. We bailed and skied the emerald slide path instead.
