Quick report
A collection of aerial photos from the north side, taken on 6.24.24 during a search for a missing climber. These phots highlight current route conditions. Recent rockfall was evident near the base of the ramp, as well as a few icy patches along the route. A slip and fall in icy terrain is difficult to self arrest. The Hotlum glacier has good snow coverage, while the Whitney is looking drier. Surface conditions are dirty and rough, but skiing could still be possible for the intrepid. Climbing this side of the mountain is not for the faint of heart and requires a higher level of skill compared to the south side or east side routes. Glaciated terrain exists.
