Quick report

Cracking
specific

Isolated cracking on looker’s right side of bowl. Skied more center line with less reactivity. Some areas of wind loading. Soft cornices beginning to form along bowl ridge. 1+ ft of new snow treeside. In bowl, 1.5ft+. Lots of people (14+) were skiing the bowl ~12p. Light to moderate winds & consistent snowfall during around 11:30a to 2:30p. **Biggest red flags today for me were human-related (including myself!)** a) groups dropping in together rather than skiing one-at-a-time b) groups transitioning very close to the bowl (rather than skiing down farther to try and reduce exposure to avalanche hazard) c) overhearing decision-making based off of “that group just skied it and were fine” d) in general, maybe not thinking critically about how these storms (that are awesome!) are affecting present potential avalanche hazard (e.g., storm slab and wind slab formation)
