Observed evidence of rising instability on south facing terrain today skinning up Cardiff pass. Snowfall and gusts around 20mph seemed to be loading some terrain features while skinning up around 1pm. During my descent I felt a small collapse and observed a shooting crack on a small rollover that extended out onto slightly steeper terrain. The terrain was not steep enough to run but I believe this would have resulted in an avalanche if it was above 35 degrees.
