Snow conditions were great for skiing on anything North to East facing. Encountered some crust from the sun and warm days we had Friday and Saturday on South facing aspect of Chicken S*** Ridge. While the cold/clear weather has kept the skiing good, it is also weakening the snowpack considerably. Facets are starting to show up in the lower 1/3 of the snowpack, although it's still 1F hardness in most areas and near surface facets make up the top 1/3 where I dug my snow pit. Also found a layer of melt/freeze crust 40cm from the ground and graupel around 25-30cm from the ground.
