Went to Reynolds NE face today knowing it was probably the last day to get on steeper N facing terrain without tempting fate. One we got to the top it was obvious that there was a windslab right off the top. The first run we avoided it and skirted to the side, the next run I jumped right into the middle of it knowing that it was an isolated windslab and was not connected to a slab in the main bowl, because we checked out the snow below it on the first go around and found nothing but cohesion less facets. I was about 80 percent sure we could get it to move and it did, it was slow and petered out once it started gouging into the loose facets. That's gonna be the last of the user friendly pockets in my book, with the storm already raging, increased winds and dense heavy snow all bets are off for the foreseeable future.
