Quick report
Observed a D1 wet loose release around 3pm from the summit block of the Ramp on SE aspect. Ran 1500'. No signs of instability noted. Rode the NW couloir off Avalanche peak. Apron and the open face between the two chutes consisted of 6" of faceted broken down old wind crusts that rode well. Thin with sharks lurking. The lower chute was pencil hard wind compacted snow. The upper chute was 12 to 18 inches of dry faceted snow on top of a very firm bed surface. Fast moving dry loose sluffs on the descent. The wind protected areas of the upper 300' of the upper chute had 1 to 2 mm surface hoar growing in it. Forgot to take a photo the surface hoar. Photo of the chute for stoke purposes only.
