Observed widespread cracking, collapsing, and one small skier triggered avalanche on a test slope that ran on the old/new snow interface. Natural avalanches observed on the ridges above. The snowpack was saturated at the top and upside down. Ski penetration was 2’ in extremely wet heavy snow. The ski quality was laughably horrible.
