TT43 - avalog

Toured up TT43. Significantly less soft snow in this zone. Winds ramped up through the day and we made the decision to ski conservatively as a result. Found a loaded test slope up high that had obviously seen wind loading and upon weighting the slope trigged a small slide that was nearly 200-250 feet wide and nearly two feet deep at places. It didnt run due to the shallow nature of the slope under it. No formal snow tests. Loaded pockets were easy to identify, but quite reactive, which is unsurprising given light snow and lots of near surface facets. As the day went on saw lots of active snow transport, particularly around johnson pass and more so further west, less in the core forecast zone. Clouds were in and out all day.
