Toured back California Creek to a high point of 4,700ft. Snow varied but most consistent was consolidated snow over facets. Point releases and old natural slab avalanches visible throughout the valley. S slopes had spring-like snow. N slopes were faceted. E and W had zipper crust at all elevations. Dug a pit on an E facing slope at 2,100ft. Depth:175cm 4F hard layer 20-50cm deep. F hard layer 50-70cm K hard layer 70cm deep. CT27 ECTX- did propagate with body weight on 31. Both tests failed at the 70cm layer
