Observed this from my house in Summit Park. I could make out a ski track into the slide path. The Terrain made seeing any exit impossible.
Called it into the Summit County Sheriff's office and started to ski down to the see if I could see tracks out. On the way down I came on 2 skiers who were involved in the Slide. Both were OK, called the Sheriff back to report everyone was OK.
This is SPOOKY. I have never seen this ridge slide, one of those involved commented that he has lived in Summit Park for 15+ Years and never seen it slide. Summit Park is a Go-To spot with high avy danger, and generally very safe spot to ski. These conditions make me very nervious. I did a tour earlier in the day and had 0 indications of instability until I did a small cut on a test slope which cracked & slid a few feet on me. Good reminder to keep your guard up even in familiar & usually safe areas.
