Quick report

On our way up, we found various different snow conditions. We started in wet snow, toured through wind-affected snow, found again some wet snow on south facing slopes at ~9000ft and wind compressed snow in the higher elevations. The wind was blowing on the ridge top and we observed wind loading. We dug a pit at 8560ft with a ECTN on facets below a crust. Our pit at 9758 ft on the east shoulder of Mt Blackmore showed concerning facets below a crust (ECTP22), confirming the persistent weak layer problem. From our pit location we could still see the crown from the remotely triggered avalanche on Dec 6th, which released on the same layer as our ECTP result. We could witness a lot of recent wind loading, as the area below the crown was nearly filled up with snow again. 
Due to the low sun angle and a clear night, the wet loose didn't seem to be an issue for us today, however, we observed recent roller balls in mid elevations (even on north facing slopes) where now crusts have formed. 

On a side note: We observed recent moose tracks all the way from the parking lot to just below our first pit.

We observed a natural cornice triggered avalanche that released as a hard slab on the north face of Mt. Blackmore. We assume the avalanche happened yesterday.
