We were out with an avalanche course and the group dug several pits on the east side of the ridge north of the prayer flags. One site was at 9200' and the other was at 9400'. Three out of six total pits had propagating test results. The site at 9200' had propagation in one of three pits on buried surface hoar 20cm down (ECTP23 on SH / ECTN12 on SH & ECTN22 on facets ~50cm down / ECTX). We were also able to get a 1x2 meter block to break off and slide on the surface hoar layer by jumping above the second pit. The site at 9400' had propagation in two out of three pits 18-25cm down on buried surface hoar (ECTP14 / ECTP18 / ECTN11 on that layer). They also found the buried surface hoar layer on a west facing slope. We saw some big cornices forming on the east side of the ridge near the prayer flags. West aspects had crusts in the morning and melting surface snow in the afternoon.
