Quick report
Two pits dug at 5800 ft on N and W aspects. HS 220 cm and 180 cm respectively. Two distinct layers found roughly 4 inches and 1.5 feet from surface. CT 14 for the top layer and CT 17 on the bottom layer at both aspects. ECTX 14/17. Calm and cold, -12 fahrenheit at 8:30, 4 at 4 PM. One North facing slope granted us stable, knee deep blower pow with face shots galore.
Avalanche
Glide crack seen SE at around 6,000 feet. Small D1 point releases transporting loose dry snow over a layer about 3-4 inches down. Rider triggered D2 sluffs on adjacent convexities over the same layer.
