Quick report

Out with a Moto Rec 1-AAS With the overall thin snowpack our main concern was wind slab on top of facets at the ground. We saw no natural avalanches, but we're able to dig in a wind loaded spot and test what this formula might look like. With a thicker slab (50cm) on top of basal facets (ground weak layer) we were able to get propagation. Test results: CT6 RP, CT11SP, ECTP 11 @35cm See picture for snow profile. In order to find deep enough snow to ride higher it is mainly wind loaded gulleys and paths so we avoided alpine terrain.
