Took the skis for a walk today, our group dug two pits near Catherine Pass to get our eyes on the weakening snowpack. Conducted two compression tests within 10 feet of each other, neither had any fracture. Did not perform an ECT due to CT results. Though there was no fracture, our snowpack on shaded slopes above 9500 feet is an absolute junk show; fist density layers mixed with very hard crusts from October and November. The avalanche danger will surely rise next week with the impending storms.
