Quick report
Just a quick road ride to break in a snowmobile out to irwin and AMR. I got out Friday evening and seriously couldn’t believe the hit the snowpack took at mid elevations near and around Irwin in 48 hours. the Melt on CBMR is staggering but the Irwin melt is honestly more demoralizing. I made the mistake of taking my sled off the road near the y at around 1030 and sunk to my handlebars in an instant. The creeks are fully open even past the y. Snow texture on southerlies are roughing up rapidly. Snowpack was completely unsupportive anywhere there wasn’t a previous track. Surprisingly the only avalanches I saw were the ones reported on east bowl at AMR yesterday. Nothing prominent looking towards Ohio peak, ruby, Owen, etc. hardly even a point release or wet loose.
