We observed small cracking of a soft slab (about 5cm thick) in areas while skinning as well. We had no whumfing, did not see any blowing snow. Simon knocked off a very small soft slab a couple feet by a couple feet (coffee table size) just under the wind lip on the north side of the east ridge, while dropping into Hatch Common. It did not travel.

Light winds, enough to be chilling but not enough to transport snow. Sunny but below freezing.
Snowpack
Overall the snow was great on the N to NE aspects, it was soft and low density. About 30cm powder. The high points of the bench and the ridges were wind scoured and had an exposed thin ice crust in areas.
