we noticed a few spots that clearly had old avalanche under the new snow Also the ridges are wind scoured

ECTN 09 on the new snow interface with graupel layer

we kicked off a few small slides with the new snow on the steeper side hill riding, but i did not notice and other signs of snowpack instability such as colapsing that i have noticed earlier in the season.

Snowpack

Instability Comment

moderate winds are transporting snow.

It looked to me like the new snow was put down on a graupel layer. I want to watch this and see if it was isolated or wide spread

Good riding, over the hood type of snow on the northerly aspects whils still some good powder on the mid and upper elevation southerly aspects
