Quick report
We skied the N/NE face on windy knob. At around 5500 ft we dug a test pit, due to some observed wind loading in our local area we planned to ski. Found at a ETC of 18 to have a somewhat non planer break in the snow. Snow depth measured at 135cm, failure happened at 100cm depth. Found faceted snow at break point. Almost seemed like old surface hoar and wet. Findings were pretty identical to another group who skiied Tronsen. Performed 2 ski cuts on a convex roll over with no reactivity on a 35 deg slope. Skiied well and care was taken for runout. Snow felt stable but do worry a warming trend could cause some instability. Temp at beginning of the morning was 21 deg f at blewett pass and 32 deg f at 3pm.
