Quick report
Snow was very stable as we skinned towards Bryant and handled fine with some jump tests. It was still stable in the couloir, too, even on the side pockets with small areas of untracked snow. Watch for the open deep, deep hole by the skintrack around No Fog. Falling into that well would take you down below the snowpack and likely deeper below rocks or to the creek bed. There's a noticeable temperature and snow difference when crossing that magic 4.5k threshold. Like at least 5, if not 10, degrees colder. Snow is pretty good below it, too, though you can tell there is a crust about 2ft below. It skies really well though, especially the exit across Source Lake. This is likely due to some windloading and the new inches of snow since last night.
Avalanche
Saw several small, natural dry loose point releases on the skin up to Bryant Couloir from Source Lake. Likely happened today as they covered the skin track when we approached around 5pm. They looked like point releases and started on steep slopes around the No Fog area. Saw a couple others on the Bryant saddle that had been triggered by falling snow from the rocks above. All propagation was about 5ft wide and 20-30ft long. Debris are really soft and easy to travel through.
