Quick report
Found some good snow today as well as some poor snow. Overal the area we traveled felt pretty solid in terms of avalanche stability.

Strong winds all day from the west. Cold temps today, felt like the inversion finally lifted. Few clouds in the am increasing slightly throughout the day. Looking westward it seems way more overcast that direction. No precip at all today.
Snowpack
Variable surface snow. At lower elevations in the open there was SH present (ranging from 10mm to 1mm as you got higher). Whereas a thin layer of melt forms dominated most of terrain below tree line along with widespread refrozen tree bombs. Surface snow above 6k was seemed pretty hammered by the wind with very little soft snow on the northerlies.
We dug around 6100' on a N aspect in 1st bowl. Found the solstice crust around 60cm down but it did not produce any results on snowpit tests. We also looked for the new years SH but could not find it at our location. Snowpack was mostly right side up and seemed pretty locker.
Avalanche
No new avalanches observed. Just a bunch of wet loose debris from the past few days.
