Quick report
Three of us skinned up firm, icy surfaces throughout in the morning. Anticipating the sun would warm and soften the surface we headed for a meadow. Four hours of sun on the slopes made little difference on the W facing slick and frozen snow. One of us decided bootpacking would feel more comfortable as we approached the top of our run. At 4pm, we took our teeth chattering descent. With low snow coverage at lower elevations in the trees we hiked back to the trail in our ski boots.
