Quick report
Beautiful day to be out. Sun was intense enough to make an impact on south, southwest, and southeast slopes above 4500' and past Snow Lake Divide. Wet loose on the south face by the end of the day. The solar input was enough to get stuff to start balling up and wet the surface snow. Did not investigate the JDL layer.
Snowpack
Valley clouds to 4500' or so most of the day. Above the cloud layer the sun was fully out and had enough intensity to overwhelm the cold air temperatures. By 230PM we were getting wet loose activity on the south face and solar aspects in the trees and near the 5200' clearing were starting to get a slight zipper crust.
