Snowpack
sustained strong northeasterly winds stiffened the snow surface on all aspects near and above treeline. 2" of new snow easily transported to southerly slopes. Lots of blowing snow off the peaks and ridgelines. Below treeline areas largely unaffected by wind, except in large open areas. Plenty of weak layers, but little tension on slopes below treeline.
