We rode up from Lake Kachess up to Baker Lake. Dug a pit at 4300’ on a N/NE aspect with little sun exposure. Total snow 217cm and -5 C snow temp. Ambient air -3 C. Roughly 40cm of powder snow on a knife crust layer. ECT 15 showed propagation at 174cm that broke completely planar. Snow underneath crust layer was a fist density working its way to another knife crust layer at 145cm and 1F density below. We did not dig to the ground. Did plenty of test slopes with the sleds and couldn’t really get anything to slide.
