Without a solid refreeze, we can expect more entrainment (I.e. bigger avalanches) once the sun comes out tomorrow.
Avalanche
We skied steep N facing terrain and found pleasant bouncy chalky ski quality. Signs of previous wind loading, but the warming bonded the firm snow to the AR crust where we travelled. In the Silver creek basin we also observed huge debris piles from the previous avalanche cycle (wet slab, hard slab, and some soft slab debris). We skied 45 degree W facing terrain where some roller balls were releasing naturally from the rocky cliffs on Kendall peak, however the path we moved through had already slid and left behind a firm bed surface showing no signs of entrainment. To avoid skiing debris in our fall-line, we traversed some 35 degree slopes to gain lower angle terrain. On the way there, we intentionally pushed some small D1-D1.5 wet loose avalanches. These were reactive to skis and occurred where the snow surface was smooth and preserved on shady slopes in the trees.
