Quick report
Weather never quite got hot enough to fully thaw the crust in phantom trees, coming out was soft but was a little grabby and felt like a little zipper crust. Slot suckered us into dropping in with about 4”-6” well bonded wind buff at the top, after the dogleg quickly turned to edge-able ice with a big runnel on skiers right. The runout of slot skiied surprisingly well. Thunder creek ascent was more like hot pow, seems like the crust hasn’t developed on higher up north facing aspects. I think > 5000’ and north facing is the play at the pass right now.
