Little if any wind effect in this new snow. Road has some major melt zones up to hairpin but plenty of people were riding it. No cracking or collapsing

Snow flurries and a few blue holes in the AM led to scattered skies in PM. Intense but brief midday heat, less than 1 hour of direct sun and temps dropping off notably at 4:00. L northerly wind

Snowpack

Avg of 20cm 8” of fluffy fist hard fresh from past few days made for some excellent riding on W and E at all elevations and among tree shade on solar aspects. At 7100’ on SW, we found ECTN15 dn 30 between two thin 4F windslabs (maybe from Monday?). Late January mega crust was down 40cm here. Did not dig to any PWL depths/greater than 50cm.

Avalanche

1 Loose dry D1 on E at 7900’, multiple LD D1 on W at 6400’. No recent slabs observed, plenty of debris and crowns from late January cycles
