Quick report

Took a mellow tour out on skalkaho to see how things are shaping up. Wasn't expecting to get into avalanche terrain due to the thinner snowpack in the sapphires and recent loading. Overall it looks like 1 to 2 feet of new snow fell through out the week and conditions were great for skiing. Sun exposed aspects were developing a crust by the afternoon.

Avalanche

Saw two old crowns that looked to be 2 or 3 feet deep on northeastern aspects. One slope had settled and cracked but did not avalanche. Both slides occurred in rocky terrain with about 3 to 5 feet of total snow depth.
