Quick report

The snowpack remains thin at Marshal. I ascended and descended the road and hit rocks both ways. At the top of Marhsal Mountain there was less than 10 inches of total snow on the ground.

There were a variety of snow surfaces from crusts, to soft snow, to moist snow, to surface hoar. Winds were light, temperatures rose to above freezing, and skies were becoming increasingly overcast.

A strong temperature inversion persists, with temperatures rising above freezing as you climb out of the valley bottom. Winds were light, and cloud cover increased throughout the day.
