Quick report

Parked at the intersection of Glacier Creek Rd and FSR 36 with 2-3” of fresh snow on the ground. High overcast, snowing lightly, no wind. Traveled to 4,900ft. There was generally about 4” of low density fresh snow on top of a 2-3” very firm crust ( breakable with force), below that to the ground was very saturated and moist snow that was 12”+ deep. Did not observe any instabilities or avalanches. We did pass two NW facing slopes between 4,200-4,800ft that had been wind scoured down to rock. On our return at 3pm cloud cover, wind and snow were all increasing.
