Quick report

A very good refreeze of the snow surface occurred in this area overnight.  We found up to 10'' thick melt freeze crusts that were knife hard.  These crusts softened quickly as daytime warming occurred with the crust becoming softer and thinner.  Travel conditions were good from 10-12noon with soft corn snow and smooth surface conditions on mostly SE aspects.  We found a light dusting of new snow in this area with some surface hoar on top.  This snow had not yet assimilated into the surface snow, but is expected to on sun exposed slopes later today.
