HS of 70-90 cm on non solar affected slopes Widespread surface hoar. Pole probing found a layer of weak snow near the ground, roughly 60 cm down. December 17, @7225 ft on NE face, (2x) CTH SC, down 55 cm. ECTP 27, down 55 cm. December 17, @7500 ft on N face, (2x) CTN, ECTX See attached photo for snowpack profile. Our main concerns were the weak layer of snow buried on December 1, 2023, and the low tide conditions.

Mostly clear and sunny with increasing clouds in the afternoon. Saturday had up to Moderate wind @ ridge top, and Sunday had almost no wind. Solar radiation on South and Southwest slopes.
Snowpack
Our main concerns were the weak layer of snow buried on December 1, 2023, and the low tide conditions. There is a layer of weak snow near the ground, beneath a crust/very firm snow mid snowpack. Noticeable with a probe or pole probe. We will continue to monitor temperatures to predict an avalanche danger trend. See attached photo for snowpack profile.
