Quick Observation

Good riding quality when we weren't in the clouds. As Bryan pointed out, some storm/wind slabs had let go, but nothing had released naturally in the past 24h. The trees are still thin and typical Bulkley Valley tree skiing robs you of all confidence.

Snowpack

To continue on Bryan's obs from 26th, I dug a quick one. Storm snow transition from 4F to 1F was apparent, 30cm from surface. CTM16 RP. The Dec. rain was also apparent 65cm down. No result on this layer after a whole bunch of whacks. CTN. A shovel pry did result in a resistant but planar break. Faceting is obvious on each side of the crust. Facets go to ground, increasing in size with depth. Good to practice up again. Let it snow.
