Drove to trailhead, walked to 1900m, lapped meadow / ridge area, freezing level up to around 1800m.
EPIC early season conditions! 1.0 - 1.3m HS above 2000m, solid base, stable, fast travel, but still 5 - 15cm ski pen for AWESOME pow turns.
Size 2 - 3 surface hoar widespread, large depth hoar down 5 - 15 cm but looked to be blown by wind and not reactive on gentle slopes. Some wind affect from southwest wind, Lee slopes have variable depth windslab, may be sitting on large surface hoar layer, caution on NE ridgetops.
Overall AWESOME. Not a single rock. Go get after it!!
