Pack Your Duffel- We’re Goin’ Up Russell

The day started with a high cloud level and good vis, but by 11am we were socked in. Temps got to 0 around 1400m. Snow below was wet and heavy by 1pm. We avoided the alpine due to poor vis. No avalanche activity observed. Minor sluffing on steep convex rolls. Forecasted winds not present. Moderate wind on ridge and still in the trees. Snow depths: 10cm @ 850m 1.1m @ 1200m 2.2m @ 1400m
