December crust is starting to disappear

Today, we rode at Harold Price. The snow has been adding up over the last few days, and riding conditions are improving! There was evidence of previous strong southerly winds. For example, there were tree tops bare from snow, and in wind-exposed areas, a hard surface could be felt beneath the new snow. That being said, there were still many soft turns to be had in sheltered areas. We did not make it out of the treeline today, but we suspect wind slabs would have formed at treeline and in the alpine over the previous few days with the strong southerly winds.
