Quick Observation

A sunny morning moistened snow at all elevations on sun exposed aspects. We chose to ski a north facing alpine chute to ski on dry powder. We also skied in the trees to avoid wind affected snow at ridgetop and in the open areas. We probed around and found the mid March crust down about 20cm but you could not feel it as you skied. The winds were light from the NE most of the day. No new slab avalanches were observed. We did see one loose wet avalanche out of steep terrain around noon today.
