This is a repeat of info in my Quick Report for Hankin with a corrected location. Still learning the system. The Lat and Long data in the Quick Report resulted in an incorrect location. Would be nice to be able to edit or delete a previous report. Pit results by novice observer. 30 degree slope at pit. 25 cm of powder above first noticeable crust. Another weak crust at about 35 cm then about 10 cm of very loose snow before an icy crust. Hard tapping of an isolated column resulted in a thin drop at about 20 cm (5 cm above the first visible crust). Further hard taps resulted in drops at the 25 cm crust and eventually the 45 cm crust. None of the drop fractures slid. The 45 cm crust slid when pulling with a shovel. The same visible crusts were found in a pit we dug on Jan 22 near the top of Hankin's Run 3. The crusts were icier/firmer but same depths even though it was before this week's snowfall (6 cm?). Total depth at that location was 135 cm.
