Mt Field

Great ski quality on Mt Field. Sounds like it was not so great almost everywhere else! Tons of people made the summit today, approx 30. Didn't find anything spooky or surprising in the snowpack today. A nice highway all the way to the summit helped that. Sunny all day, cold with a bit of an inversion, -22c at the parking lot, peaking at -13c around treeline. -15c at the summit. -19c back at the car. Calm to light winds. Skin track is in for the shortcut - take it. Found small surface hoar all the way to the summit. Coverage down low is quite good now!
