Toured up to the Vermillion-Haffner col to ascend Haffner ridge and then summit. Beautiful day out. Sunny and near zero temperatures. Nil to light wind all day, even in the alpine. Alpine was variable between wind and sun crusts depending on aspect. HS 100cm @ 1900m and 130 @2300m. Some good turns were made up high (~2300-1900).. but the thick growth and dead fall on the exit was sporty, to say the least. Natural slab avalanche noted on the north face in very steep (40+) terrain just below summit, looks to have occurred in the last storm cycle.
