Today during an Advanced Decision Making Course we skinned up to the top of the “Camp West Full” slide path as described in Douglas’ book, then skied off the backside towards the NW and finished up by skiing one of the main slide paths on McGill Shoulder. The storm snow (15-20cm) from the past 2 days had almost zero wind affect on exposed ridges in the alpine up to our highpoint at 2260m, and was definitely blower as soon as we dropped off the ridge. The snowpack felt really positive to pole probing with no hollowness anywhere. We saw several new natural stuffs up to size 1 on all aspects, but no new slab avalanches.
