We triggered what seems to be a size 2 but is actually two different avalanches of about size 1.5 (about 40cm deep and widespread) in the steep roll of lower North Bowl. Everything was controlled and we skied out easily. The potential trigger of large avalanches was obvious today, we chose the terrain for snow quality and knowing we would trigger avalanches in steep terrain, we rode with control and knowing our lines and exits well. Lots of whumpfing while setting up a skin track between the knolls earlier, but no avalanches there.
