Quick Observation
Skiing nicely above 1750/1800. Ski pen 20cm. Below this elevation band there is an obvious crust under the low density storm snow. Probing with pole felt like right side up snow until a crust about 75 cm down and then air. Curious, we dug a pit and did a propagation saw test. We found HS145, 1cm crusts at 70 and 80cm down. No obvious faceting above the crust. Between the crusts were larger ice crystals, 1F. PST 95/100 down 70 (&80) end. @1900m NE aspect.
